Most of the spare parts for classic & vintage tractors, are sold on the basis of SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS, we do not generally stock them and they are
not returnable, but we will happily refund or replace any defective item.
Because many changes may have taken place since these older vehicles were manufactured, we cannot choose parts for our customers vehicles.
Without accepting any liability, we will always try to help and point our customer in the right direction.
It is the owners responsibility to order the correct part by part number for his vehicle; he/she has the vehicle and data to hand.
Excepting Special Order Items and should any part be supplied incorrectly for any reason whatsoever,
we will always do our utmost to resolve any issues arising without accepting any liability for any consequences.
Based on the above it should be understood that we cannot and will not in general choose parts for our customers.
Accepting this is the case and if requested by our customer to choose or assist in choosing parts regardless,
we will do our best without accepting any liability legal or otherwise in the matter.
The way to order parts primarily then is as follows, by part number from the relevant parts manual, available to purchase on request, then via our web site look up that part number and here you will see exactly what you are going to get.
If in doubt send us a photograph scaled by ruler, or a scaled drawing or exact engineering dimensions. The worst way to order, and where we accept absolutely no responsibility is verbally or by email, It is impossible to verbally give an exact description. We can only then guess or try to imagine what you want & we can thus take no responsibility for parts delivered according to this method.
When the enquiry for the parts is submited, the order is placed and a new invoice is created. The customer enters into a legally binding contract and we will process the order once full payment is received.
Because we sell, re-manufacture and procure from various sources, highly specialized and difficult to obtain parts (where the classic Porsche, Deutz, Steyr & Lanz tractors are concerned) we ask that you are most careful what you order as we generally never accept returns.
Much of the costs associated with the eventual delivery to our customer of any specialized part are due to shipping, local delivery, Research, CAD drawings, special tooling to make these items and more, these costs cannot be refunded or recovered in any case.
Because often we have to source products for the same application but differing manufacturers we often supply parts to the same specification, engineering wise, but with different part numbers or names.
The defective item is subject our inspection, our decision about the defective item is final.
Claims for shortages must be made within 24 hours of receipt of goods
Please, note the return of defective items should meet following criteria:
- Are in their original packaging
- Have original manufacture information
- Are not used, installed, or disassembled
- Are not damaged due to incorrect installation
- Do not have missing parts, hardware or instructions
- Are not soiled in any way, product or packaging
Shipping charges cannot be refunded.
You must notify us prior to returning any items - all unauthorized or un-notified returns will be refused and sent back to you. Items incorrectly shipped to Wescom Ireland will be refused and returned. Items not purchased from Wescom Ireland will not be accepted.
CLAIMS ON ALLEGED FAULTY PARTS
Claims on alleged faulty parts (which have been installed) are strictly limited to that part supplied by us and proven to be faulty. No claim for alleged subsequent damage will be entertained. Only professionally installed components will be considered for claim. The claim if agreed is strictly limited to the replacement of the faulty item. Shipping and other costs cannot be entertained.
We will not be responsible for any incidental or consequential damage including direct or indirect labour, towing, lodging, garage, repair, medical or legal expense in any way attributable to the use of any item in this catalog or to the delay or inconvenience caused by the necessity of replacing or repairing any such item.
Air Cooled Technology/Wescom reserves the right to add a small-order surcharge.
ALL goods shall be considered to be delivered to the purchaser when they are placed in the hands of the carrier and consigned to the purchaser. All claims of loss, damage or destruction must be made by the purchaser to the carrier.
